Fargo Force head coach John Marks, a standout forward for the Chicago Blackhawks for 12 seasons and a two-time All-American at the University of North Dakota, on Duluth East junior Phil Beaulieu’s play in his first two United States Junior League games over the weekend and on the season-long showing by Bulldogs recruit Dom Toninato of Duluth:

“Phil was excellent in his first game and transition from high school. He is a big addition to our team. Shows good decision making, puck movement and hockey sense. Very happy to have him.

Toninato has been great. I believe he’s the best overall forward in the league. Has done it all this year. Duluth (Bulldogs) is very fortunate to have him.”

Hockey Notes
Hermantown High junior defenseman Neil Pionk, a Bulldogs recruit, was scoreless and +1 in a pair of games for the Sioux City Musketeers over the weekend.
