Bulldogs rally for 1-1 tie at Bemidji State

Cody Danberg scored his first goal in over three years with 6:47 remaining in the third period as the Bulldogs salvaged a 1-1 overtime tie at Bemidji State in the final Western Collegiate Hockey Association regular season meeting between the teams Saturday night.

Bemidji State won Friday’s series opener 4-2, extending the Bulldogs’ losing streak to six games.

Danberg last scored on Jan. 2, 2010, in a 6-0 victory over Mercyhurst College.

Matt McNeely had 26 saves for UMD (10-16-4, 8-12-4 WCHA).

The Bulldogs visit Minnesota on Friday and Saturday.
